Here's Nancy on our picnic blanket overlooking the Snake River.

This is actually a picture of the cattails, lake, geese, and mountains. I just happen to be in the way.

Nancy and me. I think she is the most beautiful person in the world.

There were a ton of geese and ducks on the lake. Every once in a while they would break into a chorus of quacking and honking that would make you smile and almost laugh at how unmusical, chaotic, and yet peaceful the sound was.

Here's mom again with Silver Lake in the background. We basically just walked around the lake. It was a great day.

Saturday, mom and I decided to take a hike at Harriman State Park. We hiked the Silver Lake Loop. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. After the hike, we had a nice picnic overlooking the Snake River. There were tons of geese, ducks, and a few trumpeter swans. We also saw three deer along the trail. After our picnic, we drove home. We got home in time for mom to go to the Relief Society Broadcast and for me to mow the lawn and watch the Boise State game. We love living where we can do so many things that we like doing in a single day's time.
I'm getting super excited for Christmas. We knew Haley and Bennett would be here, but Griff, Ash, and Zoey will also be here, and there's a good chance Grandma and Grandpa Hazard will come. We will also see Logan, Rachel, and their fabulous children over the break. Hooray for family.

"We new Haley and Bennet would be here..." Wow- comming from an English teacher and writing/tutoring center chief guy, I just had to say it made me smile.

By the way, it looks like things are getting all pretty and Autumny in Rexburg. They are here too. I love that. Autumn is by far my favorite season- with just enough chill in the air to wear a comfortable sweat-shirt.
