Long Time No See

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since we've posted anything. We have all these college and high school people in the house who are blog experts, so we are going to become experts too . . . ha ha!

Today is Stake Conference at our house, so we have some extra morning time. It feels great. I remember the days of bishoping when stake conferences meant a few more meetings than normal. It was a good season, but I am really enjoying the season of now. Mom is singing in the choir so she will go early to practice and save us seats.

Yesterday, some of us went to Burley to help celebrate my aunt and uncle's 60th wedding anniversary. We drove a couple of hours, celebrated for a couple of hours, and drove home for a couple of hours. It was great to see and visit with relatives I haven't seen for a while. My Uncle Max and Aunt Ruth have a sweet spot in my heart and memory, so I'm glad we were able to go. Mom and Dad were also there, so it was great to see them.

Our home continues to be a beehive of activity and fun. We feel so blessed to have Griffin, Haley, Courtney, Colby, and Kaitlin living with us. And to have Allison and Madison close enough to visit often. I count my blessings every day! It is also fabulous to live close to a temple. Nancy and I went Friday morning, then Friday night Courtney and I went to do baptisms. In between I went to work and played a hard fought racket ball game with Griffin and a friend. Things are good.

Nancy is loving her kindergarten teaching job, and the kids love her. I visited the other day for a few minutes and was totally impressed with her and her class. I wanted to return to being in kindergarten again and have a crush on the teacher.

Fall is here and it feels fresh and clean. I am looking forward to the snow fall of winter. I love the peace and quiet that it brings.

We hope you all have a great week. We look forward to "blogging" with you all.

what a great return. i love hearing what the hazards are up to- i feel like i can picture it! so, i know this may sound crazy since everyone thinks it must be enjoyable to have summer wheather in the fall and winter, but i miss having a crisp and cold fall season right now! i want to be walking around rexburg- all the way up that long street from my apartment to the hazards street for sunday dinner. it seems more holiday-like! anyway, enjoy it and keep the updates coming. :)

Yahoo! A blog post! Cool beans! We had Matt over for foil dinners tonight. He pretty much bought everything and did all the prep-work. He's very useful. You guys should try and employ him when he comes up that way next.

Step 1. Dig a fire pit
Step 2. Tell Matt he's invited for dinner
Step 3. Tell Matt you don't have any ingredients
Step 4. Ask Matt to babysit later in the week

Yeah, if he doesn't blog about what he did tonight--that's pretty much it. I'm gonna miss him!
